I'm Fran, 100% Italian from Liguria. After studying in France and England, I worked in DIFFERENT fields including fashion, finance and human resources. I fell in love with Paros 30 years ago and recently decided to move here. Paros is a little paradise: the people are friendly, there's no stress, no pollution, beautiful weather and beautiful sea. All it was missing was great gelato.

Being a practicing nutritionist for over 10 years I strongly believe in heart-warming and healthy food being essential to a happy life. Therefore, Gelato prides itself in only using seasonal, organic and local products that the farmers bring to the shop on a daily basis to make our ice cream. In addition to this, we aim to reduce the sugar content as much as possible and will often use coconut sugar to get rid of refined sugars. Many of my recipies have been developed to be dairy-free and suitable for vegans. Try our super creamy mango sorbet! All our ice creams are made from the beginning to the end individually and daily. Due to the natural approach we take on our recipes, we renew our ice cream flavours every three days to ensure their freshness. And most of all, we like to innovate and try out new flavors: tiramisu, goji berries, apple pie and many others to come.

As the winter approaches, we hope to extend Gelato to a tea and coffee salon with healthy cakes, gluten and sugar free pastries.

At Gelato we aim to offer the best ice cream, desserts and fresh juices. We believe food can bring pleasure, be heart warming and good to the body and the mind.
